I have no idea why but I thought I should start the season 2 premiere's thread now rather than later... I feel like a challenge ::shrug:: :smirk:
Plus discussing an episode makes me look forward to season two despite the fact that I won't see it at all until February (hopefully) next year.
Plus I miss :drool: over SB and NF...
I can't wait to see Burton stick up for Nick!

Great! I thought this sight folded. No one has been on for awhile.
The preview said Nick was arrested for drug possession. Nothing was said about the double homicides or Mandy's death. Where did the drugs come from? Did Mandy leave some in the house? Why do they need Mandy's daughter's testimony?
Did I miss something....
Can't wait to see Burton's reaction to his son's phone message, or Nick's initial confrontation with Dad after the arrest.
Tuesday can't be here soon enough!!

As long as Burton doesn't glare at Nick, I'm happy for a confrontation between the two... I love angst, but not that much... and Nick does need his father's support. I'd say that Mandy left them there, and because the police are to pigheaded to actually ask for details, they'll blame Nick regardless because of his history... or something  , Poor Nick.  |

2. I think Mandy's daughter will testify to her having been all drugged up and partied out, the last time she saw her (.. or something of the sort. Did I actually read that someplace?? can't keep up with all these spoilers, hehe) .. :shrug:
3. The only thing that freaks me out is Nick's (supposedly) long hair in the premiere. We just need to get back to ILP Hair .. and all is good. :beer:

September 24: Testimony: The second-season opener offers a familiar scenario: Nick facing prison time and his father searching for a way to save him. As the series' first year ended, addict Mandy Gressler brought drugs into Nick's home and fell into a coma after a struggle with him. Nick now faces charges of drug possession and assault, which could be worse if Mandy dies. With his son temporarily behind bars, Burton looks for a defense and finds it when he befriends Mandy's daughter, Shannon (Amanda Michalka), who says her mother was "partying" before she arrived at Nick's. The only obstacle is the girl's grandmother (Farrah Fawcett), who doesn't want Shannon to testify at the trial.
October 1: Monster: Nick represents a 13-year-old charged with raping and murdering his mother who could be tried for first-degree murder unless Nick can get him sent to juvenile court.
I can't believe that by episode 2 Nick will be out of trouble with the law and able to practice law again...hmmmm
Also in an interview with TVGuide.com Simon says...
"The finale was very interesting, wasn't it," Baker tells TV Guide Online. "Every other show is about setting something up, letting it go out and pulling it back in at the end of the episode, to a degree. [Our] finale was about setting up 15 loose ends and letting them all hang!"
Can Baker hint at what's to come in season two (debuting Sept. 24)? He claims not to know. Ha! "I don't," he insists. "I'm telling you, I don't. I'm still in the show, obviously..." Well, he admits we can expect to see even more of his hard-edged yuppie's softer side. Remember that heartfelt apology Nick phoned in to his papa?
"In the [finale's] last scene, I got to reveal a side of the character to the audience that had sort of been building up the whole year," he enthuses. "I was excited about having to play that moment to call my father... and to apologize. And it was a very indirect, safe way to do it, on an answering machine. It was a great thing for me because I'm more interested in the character journey than anything else."

Hi,
I'm a newbie suffering withdrawals. I knew the second season started airing in the US this week so I thought I'd check out what has happened.. From what I have read so far it is going to be a long time til February rolls round.
Thank God for the internet.

ok am definately curious about the nick and lulu scene. have not seen it and can't see it until feb next year.  has anyone scanned the pics from the scene on a website? . all i have to look forward to are a bunch of exams. oh the joys!!! mian |

Some screen caps have been added to the photo section of the Wendy Moriz Message Board at: groups.yahoo.com/group/wendymoniz/You will have to join the group to be able to view them. After joining the group, click on the 'Photos' link on the left hand side, and in the photos section open the "Season 2" folder. You can also listen the an MP3 clip of the Nick/Lulu dialog in the 'Files' section of that message board. |
