.. sounds cool   ... you're going to have two Masters degrees ... impressive  8)  Why do you need a Masters degree in teaching though ?  I mean, can't you be an official teacher after just ... 3 or 4 years of university ? As for me, I'm majoring in computer science .. it's my 2nd year, but in terms of the courses I'm taking .. it's like half my first year and half my 2nd year  My dad got the phone line people to come over and check it out .. and they messed around with some stuff .. our phone line was down for like a whole day (mostly cos they were lazy and left and came back later  : .. but, my connection is somewhat better now :biglaugh:

OMG .. guess what ?  One of the channels here just showed the Screen Actors Guild Awards (with Simon presenting an award) .. and I missed it !! .. cos I was watching Heart again  I mean .. can you believe that  :uhoh: Remind me to :gunfire: myself when I'm done writing this. I never even bothered to check whether any channels were showing the SAG awards .. I just assumed they wouldn't.  And I have a chance in hell of a repeat .. cos, I mean .. why would they repeat it  ?!  By the time I realised it was on .. there were only like 15 minutes left ...a miserable Simon-free 15 minutes   Â

:clapping: :music: Happy Birthday GillyBear! :clapping: (imagine the smilies are all wearing party hats!)
So what are the big birthday plans? Anything exciting or thrilling?
The new changes to the board look great! Did you ever find out what was wrong with the phone lines?
Why do I have to have a Master’s in teaching? Because someone in my state decided in their infinite wisdom that in order to be a certified teacher you must have at least a Bachelor’s degree and a certain number of education classes. In addition, after you become certified, you have 10 years to get your Master’s degree (in something, not necessarily education). We have three levels of official teachers in primary and secondary schools. If you have your Bachelor’s, you are Rank 3. If you have a Master’s degree, you are Rank 2. If you get a certain number beyond that, you become Rank 1 (these are mainly used for the pay scale). When I finish this program, I will be Rank 2, and should only have to take a few more classes to be Rank 1. :yakyakyak:
So what exactly are you doing in computer science? Back in my editing days, long, long ago (okay, six months ago), I edited computer textbooks. :nerd:
Okay, back to our real subject—Hales, I can’t help but notice you haven’t been  quite as much! I was reading a bit further back in the string when the two of you were discussing the pictures from Solidarity. Yes, it was an excellent episode (but not heart-touching like Heart). Yes, the scenery was quite lovely to look at . And best of all, I know who the girl was with him in the shirtless pictures!!! :smirk: ;D
Have a lovely birthday! ;D

Thanks 8) Yup .. so, I'm 19 today. :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Well, I'll be 19 in 50 minutes, actually .. cos I was born at 8:00 am ... something my mother reminds me of every year  ... 19 is so old though I'm skipping all my lectures after 10:30 and going to watch a film and get some lunch with my mother. We always do that on my birthday .. hardly thrilling or exciting though  The phone line..there was something wrong with the earthing or something Computer science .. tis mostly stuff like programming and maths type stuff. But I'm not doing computers 2 this year .. cos I have to complete 1st year maths :puke: .. which you need to go onto 2nd year computers. And .. I'll help you out with that question You'll find it in the Message To New Members thread, hehehe. Hales almost got banned for overstepping the drooling limit in a post .. so she has to, umm .. watch her drooling tendencies

Happy Birthday! I could sing the birthday song but you might cringe with embarrassment which might not go so well My computer slow... Why does you're mother like to remind you that you were born at 8.00am?

Where’s your Tremonti? Well, I would have sent you a picture of it, but you’ve already provided us with one! Besides, $3,000 US would pay my tuition for the next two terms—yikes! So you’ll just have to settle for this :rockband:. As for Simon—wouldn’t we all like that for our birthdays!!! And you think 19 is old!?!? :eye: “Thanks a heap!” says the aged 32-year-old as she slowly and feebly pecks out her message on the keyboard. (insert extremely old smiley here) When you get to the advanced old age of 32 you’ll be happy for a quiet birthday lunch with your mum! I could continue my theme of extreme old-ageness and decrepitude, but I think I’ve carried that far enough! So, how has Hales managed to curb her ? Maybe she needs to look at the Solidarity pictures again to make sure it’s working!! Oh well—15 minutes before the kids come back to the room!  www.nickfallin.com/simonbaker/images/articles/girlfriendfeb94.jpg

LOL ... I don't think 19 is like "old" old. I just think it's old .. like in terms of being a kid .. which I still feel like .. so it feels incredibly old
Did you guys notice Nick's shoes ? You can see them properly in Heart, when he's sitting in the hospital and waiting during Lesley's operation. Hehe .. such cute shoes .. they're so .. umm .. Nick
Also did you read The Guardian reviews on SimonSphere ? The first two are up .. LOL, I love em.
Naughty/Nice Nick ...
