I always knew there was a method to her madness, regarding this entire thing. Lulu is pretty diabolical -- tricking Nick into domesticity. I'm just happy, that he gets to be happy for two consecutive episodes it seems. This appears to be a record!

I don't know about everyone else but I actually like last nite's episode more than WIMTY. With regards to N/LL, i prefer this. atleast this one, N & LL actually has more conversations as oppose to N giving LL the look and the next thing we knew they were having sex in public place. I enjoy all of their scenes here. ;D At SBOL boards, many posted that they didn't like the N they saw last nite because he wore an apron? That he was not Nick and he was more of SB and they missed the angst. Come on, Nick needs to lighten up and that that what I saw last nite. A nice break from a very serious always furrowed looking man . I agree with Jeremy when he said Nick look older and why not... you hardly see him smile. The more he smile the less wringled added to his face. I think SB and WM really enjoyed that "put this apron" scene. You can tell by the way they were smiling and laughing. It is nice to see two actors very comfortable with each other. No ackwardness or force acting b/w them. ;D

Yes, agreed Cassidy! Last night's episode gave us a taste of intimacy between them -- and it was heavenly. I can't wait to leave work, go home and watch it again! ;D
As I said on sbol, I think the point of Nick falling for Lulu, is that she is able to bring out another side of him - we see how he's able to care for her, worry over, and fall in love w/ her - this of course is different from the emotionless cool distant Nick that is presented to everyone else. The writers want us to know what's underneath that cool exterior -- and how he does have it in him to lead a fuller life. Nick is finding this out himself, the question will be -- is he able to overcome his own fears and insecurities.

I think it's okay for Nick to be happy for a couple of episodes......but surely it can't last. I hope it doesn't. I'm one of those SBOL people who miss the Nick angst. His pain made him intriguing. The Nick I saw in Tuesday's episode was lovely -- sexy and adorable all at once. But as a viewer, I didn't find him as interesting as the Nick I watched during the first season and most of the the second season.
But I think, or at least I hope, this is just a moment of calm before the storm. I trust there are still depths to Nick that DH will explore, and that his journey will still involve lots of lovely angst!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about having to put up with happy Nick for long -- (although I think I will call him 'tentatively happy Nick,' as he seems to always think the rug could get pulled out from under him...so he tamps down sheer unadulterated joy -- the one time it got away from him, is when Jake asks him if he wants to ride to Barbara's wedding together...and Nick says, "I can't," and then busts out with this uncobtrollable giddy smile....wheeee & heeeee!!!).
It's only been two eps where Nick has been happy -- or let's say content, because of his new 'romantic relationship,' with Lulu. I expect angst will set in during the next ep about something or other. We can no more expect a season full of pleased and contented Nick, than we can expect a season full of angst-riddden miserable Nick -- the TG audience wouldn't like either one of those scenarios.

I'm thinking his next bout of angst will involve abandonment issues, which are (IMO) the core of Nick's problems and probably the toughest for him to resolve. No wonder his anger boils over at the prospect of Lulu high tailing it to California. He is finally able to take the risk of falling in love and having a relationship and she decides to leave the state?

I agree with all of you about Nick being more interesting and intriguing when he's in angst but I also think that Rosiiii is right in that... it is nice that we get to see the other side of Nick,.... that he's not one dimentional person.....like every human being who has two sides to his/her personality. For me, I like to see more of these two sides being explored.
