ginelit !!!
OK .. hmm .. :uhh:
1. There are three umm .. people in this band.
2. They are generally frowned up (music-wise) (in the same way that .. oh say ... Nsync or the Backstreet Boys are frowned upon)
Come on ... you can do it !!

So .. were the kiddies laughing at me ? :moon: In my defence/defense (: however ... I don't see what's so terrible about Hanson, I really don't. Maybe it was their image at first, that put people off, but other than that .. I dunno Their first album was pretty good, well, I liked it anyway (although maybe a little on the poppy side .. but ) and their second album was, without doubt very good. It was alot umm .. edgier than the first, and excellent pop-rock. :rockband: I can't wait for their third album :clapping: And Taylor's not too bad himself .. ...

Well, you consulted somone on IRC about the Chieftains, so it's only fair!!! :grinyes:
And none of the kids made fun of you, by the way! I read them all the clues, and finally one of them got online and looked at a music site he frequents, and started looking through the alphabetical listings.
I think people made fun of them at first because of their age and because they were used to making fun of the boy bands (which, as you said, Hanson is not). I like Hanson. I don't have any of their cds, but I'll listen to them when they cme on the radio.

Okay, reading the whole "Hanson" guess was enlightening. So, I must let you good people in on a little secret. Despite what some of you, no names (clearing throat. Hard without the audio, but strain your ears) to be mentioned, but I'm a HUGE Nsync fan. Huge. Probably more of a fanatic. But there is a reason . . . and it's a darn good tootin' one. They saved my life. Literally. I have a rare lung disease, and if not for these 5 guys, I would be dead. That's right. D E A D dead. And then you wouldn't have the pleasure of knowing me! (somewhat) Going to 3 shows this week, in fact. Just got back from 2 last week. I'm a groupie. (it's like a 12 step program . . . I'm still in the walker). They are the sweetest guys, and daggum purty to look at. So, anyhoo, if you make fun . . make fun. Just remember, there's a reason for everything. I'm tired now.

Nsync ... :evillaugh:
Haha ... ok, just kidding ;D Who I am to be laughing .. tiny Hanson fan that I am. I'm not really into Nsync, I just hear their songs on the radio now and then. I don't think they're that good looking
5 shows in two weeks ...
How'd they save your life ? (short of donating a lung, I'm assuming, hehe) :uhh:

Nsync prevented me from committing suicide. They sang their song, "God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You" to me. I had just been diagnosed, and there are more things wrong with me (physically . . don't try and get funny on me) than you could imagine. That's it.

Yes, they sang it to me in November '99. My sister dragged me to a concert (I mean dragged, I was in a wheelchair) and since they weren't that big then, my sister somehow arranged it with the promotion people. She knew how depressed I was, and how my stupid illness has changed my (and my family) life forever. I have Progressive Aggressive Sarcoidosis on my lungs. Karen Duffy, the actress/model for Almay has it on her brain. It's rare, and it's horrible to live with. But, with help of medicine, pain pills and a little help from above, I'm doing better. Now, no more talk of that.
