Restaurant Jake and Kate Shaw are having dinner, what turns out to be their third date in two days. Kate explains to Jake how she’s not really into the country club stuff, just as she can tell he’s not the country club type. Jake seems momentarily taken aback at this. She then tells him upfront that before they go much further, she’d like him to take an HIV test—and she’ll have one too. He is clearly shocked at this.
Just then, Kate’s phone rings. It’s Lulu, who tells her about the baby and asks her to cancel the shower. Kate agrees immediately. When she gets off the phone, she tells Jake.

Hi, Gin! does she just drop it?...I´d believe it´s sort of "confidential", or something that parents would be let to decide who to share with....

Nursing Home Carl Tilden is sitting next to his wife when Nick enters. He explains that he thought about killing her, just to make it easier on them all, but he couldn’t. He talks about her eyelids fluttering, and how her parents want to believe this is a sign she’ll recover, but he knows it’s only reflexive. Nick asks what he can do, and Carl says that Nick can help him do the things they’re asking so he can get his kids back.

F&F Burton is leaving as Nick comes through. Burton tells Nick he’s heard about the baby, and that he knows that there are a lot of expenses with a child like that. There’s a program over at ### (missed it), and he’s thinking about opening an account for the baby over there, to help out. Nick, almost in tears, thanks him.
