Those of us who had an addiction for the french Canadian actor, Roy Dupuis in La Femme Nikita, found in our discussions that we had all developed an insatiable urge to learn to speak french (Canadian style) I'd like to know how many who have a Simon Baker addiction, have suddenly developed a keen interest in surfing and I don't mean the internet either. I'm sure many Aussies have, but I have a feeling several Simon Baker/Guardian fans from other countries have also done just that. After all when you meet him, ;D you'll need to be able to talk about the big wave called a dumper, laydown and the lip. I'm still talking about surfing you know And above all "the rinse cycle". All that stuff has to sound like second nature to you, if you want to make points with Simon.

Well...
I, for one, am a bit scared of sharks, pufferfish, stonefish, stingrays, sea snakes, box jellyfishes, blue-ringed octopi, and sunburn.
I'd rather wrestle a crocodile or something.

Not to mention collapsing sandbanks and rips and how you can never get the sand out of your belly button.

Those dangers mentioned above are all things to think and worry about, expecially the sand in your belly button. 8) ;D Â Spunkymungbean you are something else new lady friend. Â <br> We all have to decide if it's all worth us facing those dangers to get close enough to Simon to tell him what he has to do in the opening episode in the fall to make all his fans exceedingly happy.

Nick a surfie? Not too many beaches in Pittsburgh, if I'm not mistaken. I think he probably plays racket ball with an old law school buddy. All the lawyers on TV play racket ball.

That would be good. Nick needs to take up a sport But, that would mean time away from getting things together at the office. Which should be the main emphasis this year.

I always envisioned him rowing for some reason. Perhaps with all those rivers around Pittsburgh. Builts up the muscles (yum) but can still be a solitary sport. I don't get the impression that he played many team sports.

Hey, I play raquet ball and I can row a boat! I'll teach Nick. (Annie to make another phone call to DH) No surfing though . . . I don't like the whole water up the nose thing and all the aforementioned scaries, including sand in the belly button PS. I have a neighbor named Mick that I keep calling Nick. He's been here 4 years, so It is embarrassing

I don't get the impression that he played many team sports. This idea is a *stroke* of genius. (My dad coaches rowing on the Yarra.) I agree that Nick would not be a team player on the field or in the office for that matter. I honestly can't see him playing racket ball either, but rowing - definitely. It's kind of a team sport but you don't actually have to talk to anyone. I imagine him rowing competitively at college, and now once a week at 6 a.m. on Sunday mornings to keep his oar in. Simply brilliant idea. I love it. It's such a graceful spectator sport, and the guys are always stunning.

I agree that picturing Simon rowing is a wonderful idea and not anywhere near as dangerous as surfing. If surfing hadn't been written up in his bio, I never would have guessed that to be one of his passions. I just had to word it that way. Frisky aren't I for a broad old broad?

I agree that whichever sport he takes up, it has to maintain that wonderful swimmer's back he has and those amazing thighs. Swimming, diving, rowing all good sports. I think swimming and diving would have been good competitive sports for Nick as well. Be still my heart....
