Whoa! This episode was amazing.... lot's of information. Nick turns out to be more ethical than his father and Lulu sees the light on Brian. That scene at the counter, the electricity between Nick and Lulu almost set the place on fire. And Nick saying that he couldn't stay and just talk....too much for him....too difficult.....even for Lulu. Well done Mr. Hollander!

You said it all, jez. What a change in personality for our man of the hour. Telling his father he does not want to be like him-wow!!-how hurtful!!! I guess he gave Lulu a little bit of what she deserved. Last season she played with his feelings. And now admitting tonight that she knew all along how he felt-- all the while knowing how hurtful she was being. Pay back time!! Leaving that bar was the wisest thing he has ever done, even though while sending the message with keen poignant sentiment, he was hurting all along.

Fantastic episode Mr. Hollander. Great balance of the troubled Nicholas vs. concerned Nicholas vs. corporate shark Nicholas vs. ---- was that a smile at the closing shot? Can we get at least one of those an episode? The bar scene range of emotions alone should beckon the Emmy spotlite on Simon Baker.

Best episode yet this season! Too bad we have to wait 2 weeks for the next one!
I know everyone else was pleased with Nicks comments to his father and his reluctance to close a deal with the scitzo client, but I felt this new attitude to be a little too much too soon. I felt it was too far out of character for Nick.
I thought the way he handled the situation with the boy needing the bone marrow transplant was great! He came up with a solution that worked for everyone (except perhaps the sister).
The bar scene was perfect! I have already replayed it about 10 times. Can't wait to see where that goes now that Lulu has admitted she doesn't love Brian. Nick's leaving her there sent her the message that he does not want to become involved with her until she is free of Brian. When he asked her what she was going to do she did not say she was going to leave him. She wanted something from him, for him to be her friend and talk to her but was not willing to give anything back.

Hi luftjd, I like your take on the bar scene especially your comment about Lulu wanting to take from Nick but not to give. Perfect. I really think if he had been thinking with his heart he would have stayed all night but he's a smart guy and just couldn't quite get over what his brain was telling him. I too think he did the right thing by leaving but it took a lot out of him. And did you say you had watched that scene about 10 times....my tape is already getting fuzzy in that spot! (I'll just have to watch this episode again next week and pretend)
