Hollander is promising big changes for the show in its sophomore season. Exec. Producer Michael Pressman has left the show and Hollander is now fully in control of the show. He discusses what's ahead in the fall at the following link: www.post-gazette.com/tv/20020719owen0719fnp4.aspHighlights from the article: "First I've got to get [Nick] out of jail. Once that happens, there's a bunch of stories I need to tell that are lingering from last year. From the fourth episode on it will be a whole new show in a way." "I think they're going to get back to a little bit of what the show's core is: a flawed character very much at odds with what he did and the two worlds he lives within," Stapf said. "Toward the end of the season, they did a couple [story] arcs that will be resolved and I think David's intention is to go back to self-contained episodes." I have a feeling that the Nick & Lulu story arc will be wrapped up in the first four episodes and that her character will exit the show at that time. What does everyone else think?

I have to admit that when I read this article it did cross my mind that perhaps they will wrap up the Nick/Lulu story. I am hoping that it's not the case because they invested so much into the character of Lulu, even introduced a family member (Granny) and mentioned something about her mother. My guess is that they will put Nick and Lulu in the backburner for now. I am still optimistic that Wendy Moniz will stick around as Lulu and be Nick's love interest even if it doesn't happen soon. Also, Wendy Moniz was photographed (wireimage.com) during the CBS Press and Tour Party just this past July 16 apparently promoting the show along with other cast members. I doubt she'll be doing that if she will be off the show soon. JMHO. Also it's good to see you posting again M.A.Y.

I don't know about Lulu and Nick together in a relationship... at this rate because poor Nick's life is in tatters as it is with Mandy I think they'll probably put the Lulu/Nick thing aside, maybe after the jail thing's over and done with they'll rehash it. But whats the point in letting her marry Brian (who isn't that special either ) if she's going to be with Nick later on... and also Lulu hasn't really been much of a friend to Nick lately anyway, she did break his heart in the season finale. But I'm sort of keeping an open mind regarding Nick and Lulu anyway

I really don't think CBS would have Wendy Moniz on the Summer Press Tour and Party supporting the show if she were going to exit The Guardian so soon. While I don't think Lulu was exactly fair to Nick in the season finale, he wasn't exactly honest about how he felt about her. There were mixed signals all around. My hope is that Lulu didn't really marry Brian, and if she did (naivety) that the marriage will be short lived. She has to find out about the prostitute sooner or later, and I don't think her feelings for Nick will just go away. Had he given something her to go on, I don't think she would've stayed with the Cad. If she did lie to Nick about marrying the Cad, I think she did it to test his feelings. Mean, I know, but I guess you have to be sure. As for his ordeal with Mandy, I'd like to see Lulu as a friend to him and then they can pick up on the romance again. The characters definitely have something, but it is all about timing. When given the chance, I think that they can become an extraordinary couple. Besides, would Hollander really have wasted so much time with the Nick/Lulu story just to toss it? I think not.

What is Nick's new bedpartner's name? You know, the cop he is seeing, LuLu's friend? I would like to know her real name.

I'm not sure what her name is-Kim, but she was on that show sisters, she played the big sister.
I want to see LuLu and Nick have an affair and have her leave Brian.

I really don't think that Lulu will be exiting any time soon, especially since she plays such a key role in the havoc that is Nick Fallin's life. I know that Hollander said he'd be wrapping up storylines with by the 4th episode, and in Lulu's case I think he meant her disasterous marriage to Brian --- well, I can hope at least that's what he meant. As a spoiler of sorts, Lulu will be a major part of the fifth episode this season when she takes over LSOP temporarily for Alvin. I can't wait.

I'm with you EvaOne and Juliana.....Let's have more Lulu. She's Nick's equal even though she has issues. Her problems may provide good material for some interesting heart to heart talks. I can't wait to see how they get rid of Brian.

I'm for more of Lulu and Nick----and I'm sure that he's for more of Lulu, too. She's a poster woman for that old saying 'marry in haste, regret at leisure' but she's smart and will extricate herself somehow. Besides that I'm expecting Brian to pull some sleazy stuff, like maybe hitting on Kim and she'll probably cooperate...cloud9
