OK, now .. in The Funnies .. how did Burton end up being in the hospital after Nick tried to save that kid ? I mean .. Burton ends up everywhere .. he ended up at the courtroom when Nick was trying to get custody of Leslie .. and he ended up at the hospital in The Funnies ... I mean, doesn't Burton have work to do n stuff ? No, seriously, if he doesn't approve of Nick's CLS time .. he shouldn't show up when Nick's busy with CLS crap Also ... I loved it when Burton told Nick off at the hospital ... LOL, that was too cute  I think Burton should yell at Nick more often ... but that's just me ...

... why do people do what ... ? I also read that a few times, the Nick thing ... and I was like :wtf: .. but someone cleared it up and said it's Burton Hehe .. ok, I won't get rid of the blue. Although someone on the proboards forum looked at this board .. and said the blue hurts his eyes. He actually said that What to do .. ? I also found out that the ugly black border around the main table is due to proboards changing their layouts and the main table's width also decreased .. which is the "something weird" that happened to the board ... I don't know why they changed the layout .. now everyone is stuck with this :puke:

Okay, I give! I didn’t want to give too much away about last night’s episode, but since you’ll find out anyway . . . Yes, it does look like Nick is going to keep Bart (who is a beautiful chocolate Labrador retriever), but we can’t really be sure (you know how it is on this show ). After Nick places Bart in a “good home”, Bart runs away. As Nick is walking past the judge’s house that night, he looks over, and there is Bart sitting next to the steps. He tells Bart that the judge isn’t coming back, and as the scene ends, we see the two of them crossing the street heading to Nick’s place “around the corner.” (double awww!) When Burton goes to see Judge Stanton in the hospital, the judge tells him (but not out right) that he ought to consider becoming a judge. After he dies, we find out (from a conversation between Nick and Burton) that the day he died, Judge Stanton recommended Burton for his position as a federal judge. Nick, by the way, tells his father that he thinks he (Burton), will make a great judge! As for Lulu, Jake, and James, we don’t see any of them this episode. However, Lulu is supposed to appear in the next episode. Also, Nick and Alvin interact some this episode (not a lot, but more than usual). Gotta go—I don’t want to be late for school! Today I’m teaching high school art! P.S. The funniest thing—Nan is next door at my cousin’s house playing with one of their two shih tzus—too funny . Great big Nan and little tiny Chigger! She has to go greet them every morning when my cousin puts them out for the day. Anyway, Nan, aka Psycho Dog, is on her way back to the house to go to sleep. She “worked” very hard all night—she never quit barking!

When Nan plays with what we call the "little yippy dogs" , they get nose to nose, and they kind of growl at each other and feint like they're going to fight. To see the differences in their sizes, it is absolutely hilarious! The little dogs go nuts! Then Nan gets tired of them, and heads back across the field to our house. Let's see, what did Nick and Burton talk about? (deep thought) Well, the first time was after Nick had found Bart wandering in the street. He had tied him to the railing outside the judge's house and left a voicemail message telling the judge and asking him to call him at the office. When Nick got to the office, he went to his father's office, and opening the door, said, "Dad, I've got some papers that need your signature." Burton told him about Judge Stanton having a massive heart attack while out walking his dog, and how they were afraid he wasn't going to make it. At that, Nick leaves, and goes back and gets Bart. (I forgot to mention that the first time Bart saw Nick, back when he was out walking with the judge, he immediately plants both paws up on Nick's chest. Can you blame him? Smart puppy!) Next time, they're in Nick's office, and Burton pokes his head in to tell Nick about how his conversation with Judge Stanton has him thinking about being a judge, but he tells Nick that he's just thinking out loud. Third coversation takes place in Burton's office after Stanton has died. Nick goes in to tell Burton how sorry he is that his father's friend is dead, and Burton invites him to come in and talk. He then tells Nick about how he is wondering if he made the right choices. Nick replies that of course he (Burton) has accomplished something, he's built up the firm. Burton tells him that the firm is just a bunch of people trying to make money. He asks Nick if he feels different when he's working for Alvin, and says how he can tell a difference in Nick when he's working at Legal Services. He says he realizes that Nick has to be there, not that he's doing it by choice, but that he puts less of his head and instead more of his soul into his work with Legal Services. He says he thinks it is because Nick subconsciously feels he is being of service to someone. As Nick goes to leave, Burton says that maybe everyone should be required to do something that makes them be of service. Finally, Burton drops by Nick's office to tell him that Stanton's funeral is to be the next day. Nick invites him to come in, and tells him that he thinks Burton would make a good judge. They then talk about how Stanton recommended Burton for his seat on the federal bench the day he died. Burton tells Nick that he doesn't know if he's ready for a federal position, and that while he's taken a lot from the law, he isn't sure he's given anything back to it. Nick replies that he's underestimating himself, that he (Burton) has given a lot back. Burton just smiles and tells him, "Well, you're my son, you're entitled to a biased opinion," and leaves. But you can tell he is really pleased at what Nick has said, especially that Nick has spoken freely and sincerely. How are those for details?

We need a 'hug' icon.... Wow, that was more information than I expected... Thanks! and Awww, good old Nick! More Burton and Nick interaction... that doesn't sound like a good chant though. Yes, Bart has the right idea about falling in love with Nick, I just hope that Nick decides to keep him, as a thank you because Judge Stanton was a friend and helped him out etc. did I mention Aww?

I would love to see Nick in jail ... ...

Glad you enjoyed it, Hales ! I thought, well, I can continue to divulge just little bits and pieces, but you girls are going to go to the Yahoo boards and find out even more, so I might as well just tell you everything! Actually, I do leave out the best bits  . . . but who can describe Nick’s wonderful expressions and emotions ? I must say, this was definitely a  episode!!
Why are you shutting up now? There is nothing wrong with carrying on over Nick!!!

Oh dear! Something has Psycho Dog riled up again  ! She’s been sitting under my office window growling for a bit now, and now she’s taken off down the driveway, barking her head off, probably to do another security sweep around the house ! She’s worn a path in the grass in all the way around our house!
As for how did Stanton help Nick, he is the judge that decided to give Nick community service hours rather than jail time. According to his conversations with Nick and with Burton, he saw something in Nick that convinced him that Nick was worth taking a chance over—not to mention the fact that he was the son of an old and respected friend.
By the way Gillybear, lovely picture --very nice indeed!
