 ....Found this article and thought I share...  "Simon on directing" Star-Ledger (New Jersey,USA), 17 March 2003 "My complaint phase is over" declares "The Guardian" star Simon Baker. Earlier this season, the actor complained of the show, "The hours are horrendous." He wanted writers to somehow lessen his workload in the high-quality drama that focuses on his character. The hours haven't changed, but Simon's attitude has. "At the beginning, it was difficult, hard to sustain, but I'm getting more and more used to the schedule. Instead of feeling overwelmed, I'm getting energized by it. We've got three more episodes to shoot, and then we're off until July. I'm looking forward to coming back for a third season." Tomorrow night's "Guardian" episode features the Aussie actor in his first turn at directing the show. Brass are so pleased they've asked him to do more. He wouldn't hesitate, he says. "It's very challenging for me, helps keep me alive creatively and is tremendously invigorating. I realized right away that I enjoyed directing more than I do acting." Enough to think of becoming a full-time director? "The expression 'full-time' frightens me," says the charmer. "I became an actor because I didn't want to become a full-time anything. yeah...SB get used to the hours, we hope there`s gonna be guardian for more yearS.. ;D He is so cute...third season, please!!  |

I liked a lot the ep he directed.... it was hectic, like the first season...but I´m not sure if it´s good or not to talk about it....what if SB decides he wants to have a break of nick fallin and quit in order to direct?.... ::)I wouldn´t like that AT ALL!....so, let´s keep secret, ok?.... ;D

As long as there is "The Guardian", SB will be in front of the camera. Think about this one --- "Little House on the Prairie", "West Wing", and "CSI" ... doesn't matter who is in the house, the White House or on the police force, the show can go on. As the tag line goes "Nick Fallin is The Guardian." ;D ;D ;D  Still decorating my messages and cant seem to get the picture thing to work!  |

Simon Baker showed how versatile he is with acting and directing. The Guardian is a great place for him to hone his directing skills as he is very involved with the show and the characters within the show.
Hope for a third season and lots more of his directing abilities.
So far, he has shown that Simon Baker is worthy of being a great actor/director with a future that we can all enjoy after The Guardian is retired, hopefully in about 5 years.
