Even though it's the "Long Hot Summer," and "The Guardian" is on hiatus, it doesn't mean we can't talk about the show, or Simon himself !
I know a few new discussion boards have popped-up lately @ "Yahoo", but this website (plus "Simonsphere") are still the best IMHO, and we could still visit here, right?
So, I started this new thread to see if anyone has an opinion (or information) about the new movie Simon is
shooting in New York, called: "Nights in Phnom Penh."
What I know so far....it's a movie about relationships and Simon is married to Frances O'Connor.
Gregory Smith, the actor who plays in the 'WB' show "Everwood" as the son of Treat Williams, is also in this movie but don't know if he's the child of Simon and Frances. The story plays out mostly in New Jersey, and parallel with Cambodia!
That's all I know, not much news is coming out so far!
Another hot topic that's been going on at Leonie's board lately, is a lot of people are taking offense to our "Baker Boy," because of things he said in his latest interview: "Expats - Simon Baker". You can read the interview at "Simonsphere", posted by Ms. iconic soup...who's always so on top of everything.
All our Golden Boy is guilty of saying; he doesn't like the fish in L.A. (too rubbery) and the coffee (something to do with the equality of coffee and milk), and that he's missing Sydney! Of course, since he's so homesick you can expect statements like that when you're back in your own Homeland and being interviewed by the news paper of your dream City!
Anyone who's away from home for a long time, tend to fantasize about all the good things back home. I'm sure thousands of people are going through the same pain when away from home, and talk about it all the time... but it won't be printed in the local paper, because it's not Simon Baker!!
Thoughts, anyone?
