Well Nick is in another fine pickle. He has just committed a felony and is leaving the scene when he sees Taleek also leaving the scene of his own crime.
Each one places the other at the scene of a crime. When Nick discovers the implications of what he has seen will he tell? It would probably send him to jail, even though it will help convict a killer.
I absolutely hate the thought of the Fallin men being that violent (it just doesn't sit right with me), but I just love the ethical dilemma it creates.
As Taleek has already been to the police about James they would certainly make a connection (unless they are total idiots) and check him out, even if James stays unconscious for a time. They will probably interview Nick as he is Taleek's lawyer.
Will Taleek come after Nick hoping to clear his own trail? Might he find out about the beating and use it to keep Nick quiet? Maybe he finds out Nick did know about his beating. The possibilities are almost endless.
I'm glad to see that DH hasn't totally written himself into a corner like he did last year. It should make the first show for the season something to really look forward to.
