"THE CARNIVAL"
The season premiere came with a *bang*; all the twist and turns made it like a rollercoaster ride.
The biggest shock was the murder of James - never expected that to happen - CBS kept that good under wraps. I always liked James, he had great interactions with Nick, and he had a good heart... (like Alvin said).
Too bad David Hollander wrote him out of the show, Charles Malik Whitfield is a terrific actor.
Hopefully we'll see him again in another tv show some day!
Not to offend the LuLu fans - I was a fan too, many moons ago - but I thought we would have a LuLu break for 6 weeks (episodes). Then again, Nick couldn't have shown her the door if she hadn't been there.
But she never learns ... (and who dresses her?)
She waltzes through the door - like nothing has happened - with a bag filled with chinese food containers, and spreads them out on Nick's kitchen
counter and says: "looks good, you wanna eat?"
Nick replied: "No, I'm not hungry."
LuLu: "C'mon, I don't want to eat alone."
Nick: "You don't have to." (I just loved that line!)
After some more... Nick shows her the door!
Now, if my memory serves me well...David Hollander said in one of his previous interviews that the Nick and LuLu thing was going to be on the backburner for the next 6 episodes --- so what's she doing in the next week episode "Big Coal"?
I'd hoped *La LuLu* joined the carnival for 6 weeks!
I felt sorry for Alvin, and for Nick, when dealing with the loss of James.
Nick looked as gorgeous as ever through the whole show....and those eyes!
The way Burton handled the situation with the parking garage guy doesn't surprise me - he always likes to make a deal, or so it seems.
His plan (again) to try to adopt Shanon worries me more. I think there's something wrong about it, and it's spelling "TROUBLE" for the future!
It was nice he brought it up (the subject) to Nick...but he didn't look too happy, I think Nick sees trouble too!
It was a great season premiere, lots of questions again and lots of anticipation!
I still think "The Guardian" as a show, and Simon Baker as the actor, should have gotten an *Emmy*
