This second episode brings us back, IMO, to the first's season atmosphere. I can't exactly point why: is it because of the dying girl? Because of Burton's really disgusting attitude? It was so sad to see Nick both pleased by his father's praise and, in the same time, a little ashamed by what he did to these people.
The scenes between Nick and LuLu were lovely. When she told him that ''she blew it'', he said, so gently : ''You didn't blow it.'' I can't understand why she would leave Nick ( he is clean, now, sober, a good man and obviously, so gorgeous!) and, you know what? I think she won't.
But it seems that last week's episode never happened. Remember when Alvin told Nick he would have to put more hours for LSP? Last night, Nick went only once in LSP's office and it was to ask LuLu to take the case! But the non sequitur doesn't really bother me because I believe the most important continuity is the character's individuality. And Big Coal gave us that.

Why isnt any discussion about this episode going on?... .....is it because of the sadness?....... Well, we were asking for a come back to the first season darkness..... I guess nobody was prepared for having it so early and so much!

My thought exactly... First, I wondered if I killed the subjetc, but then, I watched the ep a second time, and the sadness overwhelmed me.
