Let God sort'em out is not my favorite episode this year, but it was a good one. Some lovingly moments make me sufficiently happy to compensate a few weak minutes. Actually, I just loved, really loved Nick's remark when he observed that Lulu got to see only the wrong decisons. How right he was, and how kind he was to tell her so. Kindness is seldom where you wait for it. Another kind moment was when he agreed to say nothing of grandpa's outburst, saying he owned the meth... The first Nick we met would have been too happy to win a case and wouldn't have let that go away.
Burton is really a shark in business. And I agree with Lulu : he was condescending with her when he asked her if she already had a case like this before. And what about his comment about Nick sleeping (not living) with the opposite counsel? Sometimes, I really resent him, or rather the kind of men he represents so well, thanks to Dabney Coleman and Hollander.
Seeing Laurie back reminded me that she was the first to guess that Nick was capable of kindness (Heart). She then knew that the shell was one of protection for a wounded child and that asking him to do more would make him happier. She was right. She should now try to make him talk a little more about his feelings ... but that would be the end of TG and we don't want that, do we?
I think TG is too good to be true. Will it last long enough so I'll get tired of it before it stops?
