Outside Hugh’s group home Nick has gone to see Hugh to find out where Hugh got the stuffed rabbit. It turns out that the Twains live in the house where previously Hugh and his grandmother lived, but they are trying to sell the house. Hugh went for a walk with Beth to Parker Street to visit the old neighborhood. While they were standing in front of the house, Jenny came out and tried to pet Beth. Unfortunately, she touched Beth’s infected ear, and Beth let out a yelp. Hugh, thinking that Jenny was hurting Beth intentionally, pushed her, knocking her down. “She went to sleep,” he tells Nick. As scene closes, we hear Nick saying to Hugh, “You’re going to need a lawyer, Hugh.”<br>

The Twain house Lulu and Sarah are talking about what has happened. Sarah says that Robert is moving into a motel for now. When Lulu assures her he’ll be back soon, Sarah says no, he won’t. She explains to Lulu that while deep down in her heart she knew he never did anything to Jenny, she had stepped forward and accused him of doing so, and that they will never be able to mend the rift.

Parker Street, that night Nick and Burton are in Burton’s car. They pull up outside the house where they used to live. Burton makes some comment about the house being a sturdy little place, and how he only paid $10,000 for it in 1965. He asks Nick if Nick wants to go up and see if the people living there will let them look around. Nick says no, and as they talk we see the For Sale sign in the Twains yard across the street.

As they sit there talking about the past, Burton reaches into his pocket. He explains to Nick that when he started the firm Nick’s mother had given him this watch which she had engraved. Now that Nick has his own firm (“Our firm,” Nick interjects), he wants to give it to Nick. Nick takes the watch, reads the inscription, and thanks Burton as he places it either in his pocket or on his wrist. With that, Burton comments that it’s time to eat, and that he remembers that the restaurant makes a good arrabiata. They pull away from the curb.

Preview for next week! Apparently Nick’s going to have the week from hell as Burton temporarily moves in with him (he’s lost the sight in one eye) and Alvin falls off the wagon (and Nick naturally has to save Alvin’s tail). There was a VERY humorous clip with Alvin in the back of Nick’s car leaning against the window and singing “Stand by Your Man” with Nick grimacing in the front seat!

OMG Gine - apart from the ending which is a one box weepie, that was hilarious. Especially Hugh trailing the birthday boy around.
You never mentioned (unless I didn't read it) what the girl was found to have died of.

I honestly don't remember, Spunky. I am assuming (from what actually happened), that it was due to head trauma.
Yes, it was rather funny watching Hugh trail Nick around, especially in the police station when he's singing "Guess who's having a birthday? Guess who's having a birthday?" over and over. Nick was ready to throttle him!
