I'm pretty sure it was Duran Duran, but I could be wrong.
Addendum--I stand corrected!

I just saw Solidarity - it was definitely U2 (which came as a huge relief to me - Duran Duran - I mean!)

Not satisfied with Lulu's explanation of why the foster parents don't want to adopt both boys, Nick goes to talk to the couple.
They explain that while they would like to take both boys, Justin just does not fit in with their family. He has some behavioral issues, and their teenage daughter is very uncomfortable with the way he stares at her and things.
They would like to be able to help, but the best they can do is adopt Matthew and take him to Chicago with them where they can put him in this exclusive school.
Nick is still determined to try to keep the brothers together.

Anyway, Jake is working with Nick on the hostile takeover case. He is in charge of the securities side.
Earlier in the ep, when the deal was being discussed, Burton reminded Jake and Nick that the information they were discussing was not to be mentioned outside that room--it was that confidential.
He and Barbara meet for drinks at the Incline. Jake is clearly distracted and not much company.
Barbara tells him that they had a fun time at the U2 concert, but if he doesn't want to see her anymore, she understands.
He quickly tells her that that's not the case at all, that he really likes her, but that the issue with his parents has really got him distracted right now. He then apologizes for cutting things short, and tells her he'll call her, and leaves.
(You know that at this point Barbara is thinking "Well, I'll never hear from him again.")

Back at the courthouse, Nick and Lulu are facing off over the adoption issue. The judge reviews Lulu's case at the hearing, and asks if there is anything anyone would like to add before the adoption becomes final.
Nick then stands up and announces his client, Justin's, wish that the adoption be stopped. He explains that the two brothers want to stay together. The judge dismisses his claim, and declares the adoption complete.
Out in the hallway, the two brothers come together and hug as if saying goodbye.
Suddenly, they take off down the hall, running. Nick and a bailiff go after them as everyone is shocked. Coming around a corner, Nick notices a door quietly closing. Entering the empty courtroom, he finds the brothers hiding under a table.
Telling Justin he's sorry how things turned out, he explains that Matthew must go with his new family. When he reaches under the table to the boys, Justin strikes out, hitting him. Nick gets a bailiff to deal with the situation.

Outside the courthouse, numerous bailiffs are trying to put Justin in a van to take him back to the shelter where he's been staying, but he's fighting them tooth and nail.
Nick comes out, and informing the bailiffs that he is Justin's lawyer, persuades them to let Justin be and let him (Nick) talk to him. They step back to allow him.
In the van, Justin is still fighting mad, and as Nick enter's threatens to hit him--to which Nick raises his hand and says "Don't you hit me!"
Persuading Justin to calm down, he tells him that there is nothing else they can do that day, but that he will continue to try to fight the adoption. He then persuades Justin to quietly go back to the shelter, promising to let him know what happens.

Meanwhile, Jake, unable to come up with any other way to raise the money his parents need, calls his mother and tells her to contact their stockbroker and purchase X number of shares of the stock involved in the deal he's working on (BIG no-no! Insider trading alert!!!).

Nick, in a last-ditch effort to keep the brothers together, seeks out their birth mother, and brings her in to testify before the judge.
The mother tells the judge that she agreed to terminate her parental rights because she had been assured that the boys would be kept together.
She explained how close the boys were, especially since the accident in which Justin was brain-damaged. She explained how one of her boyfriends was beating on Matthew, but Justin stepped in to defend his brother. The boyfriend knocked Justin down the stairs, resulting in the brain damage that left him with extreme difficulty communicating (this isn't said, but Justin seems to have no real difficulty reasoning, just in articulating and communicating his thoughts, which has led to his sometimes violent outbursts).
The judge relents after hearing this, and declares that the two brothers can remain together, albeit in the same shelter, still in the foster-care system.
A hollow victory for Nick.

Back at F&A, Burton calls Jake into his office, clearly unhappy. He tells Jake that he's been been contacted by the SCC, who noted a trade in stock in the company involved in the deal under Jake's mother's name.
Jake looks rather like the deer caught in the headlights. He says, "Burton, I can explain."
Burton silences him, saying, "Jake, I told them that there was a misunderstanding, that clearly your mother overheard you on the phone discussing the deal with someone here at the office, and decided to act on the information herself. Don't disabuse me of this belief."
He then goes on to explain that he has placated the SCC by promising that Jake will not work on any more securities deals--ever. When Jake asks if he has to leave the firm, Burton says that no, as long as he can keep up enough business without working in Mergers and Aquisitions, he can stay. But Jake and his mother will have to pay back the money they made off the stock.
And as Jake goes to leave, Burton calls him back. He hands Jake an envelope containing a check for $50,000, Jake's salary for the next six months (the advance Jake had asked for earlier), explaining what it is.
At a loss for words, Jake simply thanks him and leaves.

The next morning, Justin asks to see Nick. When Nick arrives, he tells Nick haltingly that he's changed his mind, he wants Matthew to go with the adoptive family.
Nick, clearly surprised, asks what changed his mind. Justin tells him that he could hear Matthew crying himself to sleep the night before, and he doesn't want to stand in the way of Matthew having the opportunity to go to the special school in Chicago. Nick asks if he's certain this time, and Justin says yes.
Nick has the judge reconvene the hearing, and announces that the brothers have changed their minds about staying together. The judge is clearly not happy in what she sees as a waste of her time, but makes a final ruling, legalizing Matthew's adoption.
This time the boys say goodbye for real, clearly pained at being separated, especially Justin, who will remain in foster care in Pittsburgh.

As a conclusion, Jake has gone to his father and explained that he has gotten the money to save the house, but not his father's business. His father will have to deal with that himself. In addition, the house is now in Jake's name, so that it cannot be lost again.
Finally, we see Jake and Barbara back at the Incline. Barbara is clearly surprised that Jake called her so quickly, but pleased. Jake explains that he has resolved his parents' problem, and again appologizes for their previous date.
Barbara tells him it's ok, and then tells him what a good son he is, to worry about his mother like that. She then goes on to tell him about her mother, how her mother likes to go to these bingo and buffet things every Saturday night and drag Barbara along with her.
Jake laughingly confesses how his mother is constantly entering pie-baking contests and dragging him along to them with her! They laugh together, and then Barbara says, hey, how would you like to join us for bingo this Saturday? Jake says he'd love to. She quips, "You can bring the pie!" He replies, "Pie, heck, I'll bring my mom!"

I just e-mailed you about a supposed scene between Nick and Lulu, where she says he is going against her with the boys because of the personal situation between them. Do you remember anything about that?
