I had forgotten all about that!
Lulu accuses Nick of taking the case just to battle her in court because of their differences of opinion. He tells her no, he's taking it because he doesn't think it's fair for them to adopt the bright kid and not be bothered with the brain-damaged one.

Gin: Before I even got to your last post on The Divide, I was thinking I should tell you how impressed I was that you could remember the episode so well. Now, I'm not! ;D ;D They only little thing, and it isn't you, was Jake's salary. In one episode, Alvin comments that Nick's salary is LSOP's annual operating budget. I figured that would have to be at least $200K (not including salaries). So NF makes around $200K and Jake makes $100K?

Yeh, that's cos Nick is cute .. and Jake isn't.
I've watched The Divide like 4 times now .. and I still couldn't summarize it this well.
So, Jake & Barbara are officially together now ? That's kind of cute ..
My favourite parts of The Divide were when Nick found the two brothers under the table and Justin sort of hit him. And when Nick got in the car and said "Don't you hit me!"

I don't know if Jake and Barbara are dating now or not. We haven't heard any mention of it since, but then the stories have been pretty much concentrated on Nick lately--not that I'm complaining!

Re Salaries
We aren't given much info but they would appear to be around $100,000 - $120,000
You will recall from the Pilot that Alvin said that Nick's billables were probably the equivalent of his clinic's operating budget. Billables make up the amount that the client is charged. This goes to the firm. It wouldn't directly determine Nick's salary.

As a Sr. Associate, can I fire Jake? What's my salary? I'm cute too! ;D LOL .. Well, actually now you're on Jake's level. You can only fire the associates once you make Partner ..

I'm assuming Senior Associate, since Amanda is a Jr. Associate. Umm .. I think.

mmmm... excellent question
I think he is Senior even though Jake has been at F&A longer. If he's not he should be, 'cause he's smarter and cuter. ;D
I've always thought that Jake and Nick are the two associates that work for/with Burton, as all partners have associates working for them, and that they were both sr. assoc.
