 OK .. there weren't really any Vulnerable Nick scenes. And no Lovable Nick scenes either. But damnit, that last scene with Nick at the hospital .. that is the Studliest Nick I have ever seen !! (no, really) .. REALLY ..     Jeremy called Nick a "bitch" at the beginning of the episode too  (right after Nick asked why he needs to see Burton Fallin) Oh yeah, and Aunt Liz didn't comment on how Nick has grown  She just says "Look at you, you look great" I still find it incredibly weird that Uncle Burt and Cousin Ernie have never met Jeremy before! And now suddenly they're all eating dinner together like one happy family, and Burton and Nick are the only people Liz have to depend on through her illness .. Nick also did alot of eating in this episode ... twice. Once at dinner at Liz's house, and the other time lunch with Jeremy at the Incline .. And once again, I must emphasize the  of the last scene .. seriously, OMG. I have never seen Nick look so darn PERFECT. And when Jeremy comes in and kisses his mom, Nick sort of looks up at him and smiles ..   It will take me until 7pm next Tuesday to get over that look ..

Hello, I'm new here too, and another Australian, I enjoyed family, in particular the scene where Nick tells Jeremy all about how the cancer treatment will effect his mother, the emotion he pluts into his eyes is just amazing. I don't think I have ever seen an actor who can do so much with his facial expressions - it is a wonder to watch.

Hi there!!! To find all the icons we use, look under the BB Help/Info/Etc. (that's not the exact name, but you get the picture!) thread on the main page.
To wave, key : wave:, but don't put any spaces between the colons and the word wave--I had to in order to get it to show the words!
And by the way--Welcome!

I watched Family last night. Perhaps I'd ready too many of the spoilers (spoilerholic is me), but although I enjoyed it, I really don't have any comments to make about it.
Two elements mainly:
- we learn more about Nick's family, especially mother - Nick gets to view his adolesence from another angle, through Jeremy (horrid little brat!)
Got to go now pick up my own horrid little brat (just joking) from childcare. See you

I kind of liked family (& privilege) it felt like they were tryng to soften the blows of Causality, I remember sitting there like a stunned mullet during causality, I could hardly bear to watch it, it was just so painful.
As you said Gilly the ending of family was just delightful (the scene in the hospital, I mean).

It was a bit too much of a Hallmark moment for me, but then I'm an old cynic. Neither hubby nor I could understand the story about the house 'A room for smiling, a room for crapping, and a room for Nick' (or something like that) - must be an American thing
