Season Finale: The Beginning

I've accepted the fact that Lulu is the definition of confused. Why? Why? Why? While I believe that the character is fully redeemable; however, the writers have really taken a sick twist with her character. They could've been kind and given Nick at least one alliance on the episode. But no, they let Lulu take Nick's heart and stomp on it with her three-inch heels, wait, that's just a touch too dramatic. While I think that Lulu could've been a little kinder with her announcement, I don't think it was an easy one for her to make. She seemed pained. Either she was lying to Nick (about marrying the Cad) or she was already lamenting her decision to marry Brian as she did. Nick was heartbroken, it was interesting how Lulu paused outside the door. That makes me wonder.

Oh, what does everyone think --- will the story pick up here in the fall or will it be a few months later?

Every review of the show that I've ever read has always cited one criticism of the show:  it's too sombre.  I didn't agree until TB.  I think that they over did it.

The writers may have put the Nick in a box that he can never escape from (plausibly anyway).  Nick is in the company of a likely dead (or brain damaged) Mandy who is so very high on cocaine. He will likely have to face murder charges if she dies, even thought he did nothing wrong except make another stupid decision by letting her in his house.  He has also violated his parole conditions several times over (as was noted by the detective) and there is no realistic way Nick can avoid jail time.  Burton cannot use his influence again to save Nick from jail, especially now that he is a judge...so how can Nick go on?

Yeah, I don't see why EVERYTHING had to come crashing down on Nick all at once and that there was no one there for him.

Call me dense but I still don't know what Nick did with the Mandy situation (except let her in even my parents said he was 'walking into a hole') except let her in his own home... but only to have a shower... I admit he was wrong but that was his intentions.  He called the police, she attacked him first... he was stopping her from leaving she struggled... he could have lost his grip on her and she fell and hit her head.....

:confused: Him going to jail for that isn't necessarily fair on him..... he was trying to do something to help the police?

Don't get me started on the other things that made Nick's life 'difficult' :biggrin: as I'll :bawling: my head off.

So what exactly happened with James in the season finale .. and why did he leave ?  :happysmile:

James lost custody of Levi for two months because of Alvin... James felt betrayed so he quit the firm...

Alvin saw Levi's black eye and when Alvin asked, James said Levi got it boxing with him so Alvin called Laurie to talk with James and tell him to take Parenting classes.  James refused and they went to court and he lost.  I think that's it.

I'm with you. What is her problem?  I have really enjoyed this show but am pissed off now. I was looking forward to her telling Nick the wedding was off (as shown in the preview the week before).  Everything ended so negative.  I don't know how Nick can recover from anything now?

8)    I'm a newbie, and if I could put my 2cents in LOL, I loved the season finale.  I think that Lulu is a total fool for marrying Brian, but hey I think they belong together.  She's not nice enough for my Nick LOL.  I am so waiting forward to seeing Nick and his fathers relationship growing  next season.  I am a sucker for men crying and I loved the ending scene  .  I don't know what they are going to do for the season openner next year, but I can't wait.  [/color]
