Upstairs, the registrar fills out the forms, and asks if the kids want to exchange their vows now. They answer yes, and she asks the "I will" questions  , and then she has Nick and Lulu step up to sign the book. Nick and Lulu exchange some rather deep glances at this point. Afterwards, there is much hugging, though Nick doesn't look terribly comfortable. Denny tells Lulu that they got all their stuff out of her house, and that they left something there for her, and "something for you too, Mr. Fallin." Nick grins and ducks his head as he always does when he's embarassed, and tells Denny they didn't have to do that. Then Nick and Lulu head off to the house for our big finale. ;D |

As they enter the house, Lulu is asking Nick if he thinks Jeanette and Denny's marriage will last. He answers no.
When she asks why he helped them then, he replies, because that's what they wanted.
Inside, they find that Denny has tidied the place up, and that he and Jeanette have put vases of flowers on the mantels, arranged the little bits of furniture neatly, etc.
Nick is telling Lulu about this place he knows of that carries period fixtures--lamps and knobs, etc. This is when she looks at him and says, "I don't think I want this house." He says, "Okay."
She goes on to say that the house, the wedding, the marriage, it's all too much, and that she's afraid that she's about to do something she really doesn't want to do.

What did Denny and Jeanette leave for Nick & LuLu ? The flowers ?? :wtf:

Nick doesn't say a word. He just walks over to her, caresses her cheek, and kisses her lightly. The kiss then deepens, and I have to say, I think MAY was right--I think they were about to wind up right there on the floor! What passion!!! :drool:
And then, you hear the knock on the door, and Brian's voice calling "Honey, Lulu?"
She pulls away from Nick, looking a little dazed, mutters "It's Brian", and goes to the door. He enters, and they start talking like nothing has happened.
Nick, meanwhile, leans against the doorjamb trying to recover himself. Looking a bit miserable, he makes eye contact with Lulu, and says "I need to be getting back to work." Lulu says, "Well, ok, see you later then." She then continues prattling on to Brian, telling him about helping the kids, the wedding, etc.
Nick walks out the door, and as he shuts it behind him he pauses. He gathers his thoughts, and as he starts down the steps we see an almost imperceptible smile flicker across his face.
Up pop the credits.

Then why the hell didn't he say so to Nick? That was Nick's question to Burton exactly--if he wanted the plane, why the hell didn't he tell me he wanted the plane!  |

Jake didn't exactly go behind Nick's back, in fact he told Nick about this other company. I kind of got the impression that Nick told him to go ahead and set it up.

Denny and Jeanette cleaned the place up--not just what they had done, but generally, and arranged the bits and pieces prettily. We don't get a chance to find out what they left for Nick.

I'm not sure who Nick's lawyer was. I'd have to re-watch earlier eps to see if it's the same guy.
Denny wasn't gorgeous, but he wasn't bad, either. He's cuter than Brian. ;D

And Brian is seriously OK with finding Nick and Lulu alone together. He KNOWS Nick doesn't like him. Is he a complete blind idiot?
