What did he say, other than to note there wasn't one there?

On the Street Nick and Jake at the scene of a crime. The police have called them as they have found Caffey dead. He is wearing a coat he borrowed from Jake the day before for the meeting, and Jake’s card was in his pocket. The police ask if they know anything about it. Jake explains that he just helped him win a settlement and asks if he died of an overdose. The cop replies, no, but drugs would explain the fact that he died of hypoglycemic shock. He then comments that Caffey’s diabetes kit was laying within reach, which makes it really sad. Nick and Jake (Nick looking a wee bit secretive, I might add) take their leave. Walking away, Jake comments to Nick that now the kids will get the settlement. Nick agrees.
As they walk away, the camera moves down to the sidewalk, where we see a bright pink plastic watch.

Nothing else was said about the photo, but Lulu did look uncomfortable.

From this can we imply that Andrea was there when her dad went into shock but that she didn't bother to give him his injection?

That's what I infer. Or perhaps she even made sure he had too much insulin.

Thought the episode very interesting and especially liked Andrea Caffey. In many ways she was like Lesley Walker in her strength, ability to manipulate Nick, wise beyond years, and able to whittle away at Nick's self-built wall. The ending did suggest that Andrea may return in a future episode.
The "conflict" between father and son when BF discovers Caffey in the lobby was definitely a struggle between the beliefs of BF that appearance is so very important to the prestige of the law firm by noting that type of client did not belong there, and NF's trying to meet the obligations of LSoP and the firm. It does seem as though NF is beginning to mix his two worlds by using his corporate law to aid those in need, i.e. getting a settlement for the Caffey girls, even though his father probably would have disapproved since the fee was only $27,000. Not bad for a couple of days work.
Loved the opening scene with the telephone call between Laurie and Nick. She is definitely a strong character and not one to ease up on Nick meeting his obligations to his LSoP clients. Through the season I hope that there will continue to be these struggles between Laurie and Nick. They seem to compliment each other. Laurie does challenge Nick in ways that no one else does - no matter what is happing in Nick's life, your clients come first even if you have to attend a wake and not skip out with a "dinner" engagement whether real or an excuse.
Lulu's comment to Nick thanking him for his protective concern seems to indicate that Lulu still has a lot of unsettled feelings and is building her own little wall of protection. Loved Nick's answer - he was concerned. Also liked his comment to Lulu after she stated that their conversations always ended with Nick trying to get her to divorce Brian. A firm, final answer "Who?" was a great comeback.

So I take it that there is more tension between BF and NF then? I like the sound of this episode, and we have Jake and Nick being friendly again...yay! "Divorce who?" hee, that was a funny comment from Nick.
