Main area at LSoP Nick walks up to Lulu and asks if they can talk for a moment. He says he’s noticed that she’s been rather short with him for about a month now, and he wonders if he’s done something. She says “You represented my fiancé when he was arrested for soliciting a hooker.”
“I couldn’t tell you,” Nick replies. He then asks her if that is why she went to the doctor.
First she says no, then yes. She tells him that a month ago she was talking to her gynecologist about getting pregnant, now she’s being tested for “everything out there.”
Thomas’ office Nick is meeting with Thomas again regarding the deal. Out of the blue, Thomas asks “You were a coke addict, weren’t you?”
Nick coldly replies “That’s none of your business.”
Thomas continues, saying something about how since Nick is a corporate attorney it wouldn’t be called addiction, would it? He tells Nick that he’s stopped shaking hands with people because his hands are always so cold, and that he sweats through three shirts a day.

F&F Now, this starts Nick wondering if there is something wrong with Thomas besides exhaustion. Nick asks Burton, who says that he doesn’t ask these kinds of questions. When Nick says that he’s worried that Thomas isn’t up to the deal, Burton tells him that Thomas has been doing this kind of stuff since before Nick was born.

The prison Nick and Dale are there to talk to Dale’s father. The father is very shocked by Dale’s appearance. They explain what they need, that after Penny left the shelter she was in her aunt’s custody, but as the aunt was unable to deal with her, another supposed relative, John Starman, took custody of her. The mother has told them that Starman is actually a friend of the father. The dad says yes, he knows the guy, and he has a trailer he usually parks in a friend’s driveway.

Police raid at a trailer late at night Nick and Laurie have arrived to try to locate Penny. They have brought the police in to help. The police bring Penny out of the trailer. One of the officers walks up to Laurie and tells her that as she’s with Social Services, she can take care of Penny’s baby, and places the child in her arms. Nick is clearly befuddled by all this.

Maybe 16-17? I'm not sure exactly. I do know she's still a minor.

She’ll give Dale the bone marrow, but she wants her baby back and wants to continue living where she’s been living.

Court room The attorney with Children’s Project of Pittsburgh (Kate Shaw, maybe?) outlines the situation to Judge Damsen. Nick stands and gives Penny’s account of the situation, explaining that Penny wants to retain custody of the baby and remain where she had been living. Damsen refuses, placing Penny and the baby in a shelter for teen mothers where she can continue her education, receive parenting classes, and the child will be cared for.

What - Laurie isn't hoping up and down about getting it adopted out to some nice couple who is just waiting to adopt etc. In Shelter she couldn't wait to grab the baby and run.

F&F Mrs. Thomas has come by at Nick’s request. Before he can begin, she tells him how she expects all of her husband’s business associates to become involved in or donate to any charities and projects she is involved in, and she is currently working to raise funds to rebuild the aviary. Nick, nonplussed momentarily, quickly regains control and explains that he is concerned about her husband’s ability to work on this deal. Mrs. Thomas explains that Henry’s father committed suicide at a young age, and that Henry often feels certain stresses, and therefore finds it necessary to “take really good care of himself” every 3-4 months.
