F&F Burton has called Jake in for a consultation. He shows Jake a gift certificate he received from a client at Christmas. Jake looks at it. Burton asks if the store sells “those fancy Italian suits, the kind you like?” Jake answers in the affirmative, and Burton appears lost in thought. He mumbles that he’s been buying his suits at the same place for thirty years. When Jake asks what he said, Burtons says it was nothing, and thanks him for coming. Jake places the gift certificate on the desk and leaves.

Courtroom Mrs. Regas’ attorney tries to argue that her client should have custody, while Lulu tries to argue that Tracy should retain custody.
Tracy wins the suit.
Afterwards, Mrs. Regas meets with Lulu and tells Lulu that in return for being allowed to see her grandson, she will help Tracy out financially.

F&F Jake brings in some of the files on the Travelmaster account. He excitedly informs Nick that Caroline is in fact relocating her business to help escape some lawsuits she’s facing from former employees. Nick becomes thoughtful, while Jake is gleeful at the thought of all the litigation fees.

Tracy Baxter’s apartment Lulu takes the settlement check over to Tracy. She explains that she’s run the figures, and that once Tracy makes all her overdue payments, she’ll only have about $650 dollars left. Tracy tries to say that she’s looking for a better job and a new roommate, but Lulu interrupts her, explaining that Mrs. Regas is willing to help out financially if she gets to spend some time with Michael. Tracy refuses.

LSP Lulu takes the completed contract work to Nick, who congratulates her on winning the Baxter case. Lulu points out that things haven’t been going well lately, as she has lost her last fifteen cases. She tells Nick that she’s triple-checked the figures on the contracts he had given her. He compliments her on finishing quickly, but points out that when you’re being paid by the hour it isn’t in your best interest to finish quickly (she said it took her three hours to do it).
When Nick tells her he’ll have more contracts for her tomorrow, she tells him she doesn’t think she’ll be needing them, as she’s considering her mother’s offer. Nick looks surprised. Lulu asks if he has another copy of the offer with him. He looks for it, and reluctantly hands it over to her.

F&F Burton went shopping! We see him come down the stairs in the lobby, with everyone doing a double-take at his new suit.
(It's dark, with a dark shirt and burgundy tie)

F&F, Burton’s office Nick goes to see Burton. He asks if Burton and Jake will take over the Travelmaster account, not because he (Nick) feels involved, but because he isn’t comfortable with Caroline’s business practices.

Naturally he looks good! Just a little uncomfortable not being in his usual 3-piece suit!

Burton asks some questions about Jed’s deal, and Nick tells him how they have every thing in place but the liquor license. Burton points out those are hard to get. Nick says he knows, and explains how they plan to buy an existing one. At this, Burton points out that his friend Frank used to own the Fish Shack. Nick, exasperated, asks what that has to do with things. Burton points out that as owner of the Fish Shack, Frank had a liquor license. In addition to that, Frank’s brother sits on the board that decides who does and doesn’t get new licenses.
As Nick goes to leave, he turns and says “Nice suit.”<br>
