Lulu’s house Nick goes over and tells Lulu that Caroline is having business trouble. He tells her that he thinks if she takes the job she will harm her career. Lulu thanks him, and reminds him that if her mother knew he was telling her this she would kill him. He smiles weakly and says “No, she’d sue me.”
Lulu’s house Lulu is trying to nicely tell her mother that she’s declining the job offer. Caroline looks Lulu in the eye and says “Louisa, you’re losing your house, hour marriage is crumbling, and you’re in love with another man.”
Lulu tries to deny that she’s in love with someone else, but Caroline points out that she’s been through the same thing herself. Lulu lashes out with the only thing she has, that she’s not like her mother, and that she’s noticed that Caroline hasn’t signed in to see Nana Rose once since she’s been in town. Caroline points out that Lulu doesn’t know all the details, and that Lulu should stay out of that issue.
As the scene ends, Caroline tells Lulu that she’s going to be sticking around.

Sounds like a good episode! Lovely summary Gine!
I'm sorry about lack of posts I officially have nothing to say... except maybe ask how Burton looks... is he okay phsyically? he just sounds lonely and sad... :uhoh:
I want to see cheerful and happy Burton... not sad lonely.
Also what was his reaction when he overheard Jed tell Nick that he wasn't 'old-fashioned' or whatever it was?

...how Burton looks..... he just sounds lonely and sad... :uhoh: Also what was his reaction when he overheard Jed tell Nick that he was 'old-fashioned' or whatever it was? Hales, I think Burton was feeling a little sad and taken off guard by overhearing the conversation between Nick and Jed Tobin. And it showed in the scene as Burton is sitting behind his desk, before Nicks walks in and asked him to step aside. Another sign is that he goes out and buys a new suit, more towards the taste of the modern yuppy world; and it looks great on him, but it's not as sharp looking as the dashing 3 piece-suit he's usually wearing so well. Nevertheless; in the end he shows he can still teach the young yuppies a thing or two, which only shows when the boys get stuck to get a liqueur license, and Pappa shows Nick he's more than just getting old!! Next week's episode is a repeat... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Warning: Spoilers below!!In next episode though; (February 4,) it seems something is going to happen to Burton, as you can clearly see him being in some sort of hospital, and someone says: "he's had a seizure." Something also, it seems, is going to happen to ( or with) Nick, as you can hear a car and screeching tires and Nick saying: "Oh God!"
