I'm embarrassed to confess, Spunky, but I wasn't quick enough to jot them down with everything else. I can try to get them for you later!

LSoP Alvin has arrived to meet with Seth (from the clinic board). Alvin reminds Seth that he founded the clinic, but Seth explains that under the circumstances the board thinks he should step down for a while. Alvin bellows that he is a member of the board, that he founded the board. Seth calmly says that for now, they feel it is best if Lulu is in charge so as to keep contributions coming in.
Out in the main office, Alvin explains to Lulu that he wants her to represent Janine Crane in regaining custody of her daughter. When she tries to argue, he tells her that he has been suspended for the moment, and that Janine is a legitimate client, she’s been to the clinic for legal services before.

Judge Damsen’s chambers Laurie is explaining to Nick and the judge that Bryant has been taken to the hospital where he is being treated. His mother is currently in jail on drug charges, and he has been staying with his aunt. His aunt is unable to care for him, which is why they were having the shelter hearing. Judge Damsen suggests that Nick step up as the boy’s medical guardian. Laurie starts to explain that Mrs. ** is able to serve in this capacity, but Judge Damsen declares that she would prefer Mr. Fallin to serve as medical guardian.

What is it with Judge Damsen wanting to appoint Nick to everything. Has she got it in for our golden boy or something? Maybe she just likes to see him fume ;D

LSoP Janine Crane has come to meet with Lulu (they’re in the main area of the office). Lulu explains that if Janine wins her case, she will have no trouble keeping Emily. She then says they’ll have to show that Janine is able to provided a suitable home for her daughter. When she asks where they live, Janine replies she has an apartment. Upon further probing, she confesses that it is above the massage parlor.
Lulu is again showing clear distaste for the whole situation. She point-blank asks Janine “Why do you do this?” When Janine replies “For money,” Lulu says, “I don’t work just for money.” Janine tells her she’s lucky, but that she (Janine) can tell by looking at Lulu that there is someone who loves Lulu and helps take care of her.
*Note: Janine refers to Lulu as Mrs. Olsen.

Actually in this case, Spunky, I think she felt Nick would follow through, and that is why she appointed him. I'm starting to think maybe she is a bit like Laurie, and has some respect for Nick in that he is persistant and truly does his best to make sure that what is best for his client is done.

Hospital Nick has gone to the hospital to check on Bryant. He talks to the doctor, who explains that most of the tests came back fine, except that Bryant shows high lead levels in his blood. Nick, ever vigilant, asks what can be done to correct the problem. The doctor explains that there isn’t much, but they can try kelation therapy, which unfortunately is quite painful, but flushes the extra lead out of the system. He also explains the effects of the lead on the child’s nervous system.

Nick explains that he is just trying to put together the boy’s medical history. The doctor tells him that he is trying to do the same thing, but that they don’t know if the boy even has a pediatrician.
He takes Nick in to see the child, who is playing with blocks or something. Nick looks at Bryant and says “Hi, remember me? I’m Nick, we met at court.” The child looks up, runs over to Nick and hugs him around the knees. Nick is momentarily taken aback, but the doctor comments “Bryant likes to hug.”<br>

County Jail Nick has gone to see Bryant’s mother. He tells her he needs to know who her son’s pediatrician is. She says she always takes Bryant to a clinic. When Nick asks her about the lead poisoning, she tells him he should talk to her lawyer. Nick, surprised, asks why he should talk to her public defender about this. She tells him no, not her public defender, her other lawyer, ** Hansen, that he’s the one taking care of the lead case.

Hansen’s office Nick apparently knows Hansen pretty well. They chat for a moment about the case, then Hansen tells Nick that he should come to dinner with he and Julie [his wife, apparently] Saturday night, they haven’t seen him in ages. Nick agrees willingly. As Nick rises to leave, Hansen says he’ll send the files right over. In the doorway, Nick asks that they be sent over to Legal Services. Hansen laughs and says, “How much longer you got over there anyway?” Nick doesn’t seem amused.

LSoP Alvin has dropped by and is asking Lulu about the case with Emily and Janine. Lulu gives him some weak answer about it depending on the case against Janine, clearly disapproving of Janine and the whole situation. Alvin tries to explain to Lulu that while Janine may be a prostitute, that is not his relationship with her. Lulu doesn’t appear to believe him.

LSoP Jake goes in to see Barbara. He is clearly incensed, and tells Barbara that they are going to sue the kid for defamation of character. Barbara doesn’t want to, but Jake insists. He tells her that they are also going after the kid’s parents’ money. Barbara is confused when Jake mentions parents, and Jake tells her “I went to Pitt too, I have connections.” She is clearly shocked to find it was a college student pulling the prank on her.

Hospital As Nick arrives, the doctor tells him that Bryant has had another seizure, and that this time he’s in a coma. Nick gives the doctor the medical records he has obtained. As Nick and Laurie look in on the boy, the doctor explains to Nick that he (Nick) may have to make a decision about life support. Nick is clearly shocked, says, “No, no” and backs out of the room and heads down the hall.
