Hansen’s office Nick goes to see Hansen. The minute Nick steps through the door, Hansen says “Hey Nick, about Saturday. Julie [his wife] has a friend coming in from Philly—pretty, very pretty.” Nick cuts him off, confronting Hansen about telling the mother to feed her son paint chips to raise his lead levels. Hansen claims innocence, but Nick continues, telling him that he knows better, he knows that Hansen told all the mothers in that building the same thing. He says Bryant’s mother was only doing what Hansen ordered her to do.

This is the first time Alvin has discussed Nick's arrest? Considering it involved an allegation of drug use you would think he would have discussed it, he is his sponsor after all.

County Jail Nick goes back to Bryant’s mother and tells her that the DA won’t prosecute her for child abuse if she will testify against Hansen. She agrees readily. Looking down, he tells her he has one other thing for her to take care of. He wants her to relinquish custody of Bryant. She becomes upset, moaning about her baby, how can he ask her to do that to her baby, does he know what will happen to her baby growing up without a mother? Nick looks her square in the eye and replies “Yeah.” Still crying, she picks up the pen and signs the paper.

Olsen house Scene is similar to the earlier one. Lulu is sitting on the bed wearing a pair of Brian’s pyjamas. Bryan comes in, tries to kiss her, but she turns away. He asks what he has to do—he’s tried to be extra nice this past week, they’ve gone out to dinner, what does he have to do? She looks at him coldly and says “Stop having sex with hookers.”
She tells him she knows all about it. “Nick told you,” says Brian. She gives him another withering look and points out that she was a law clerk, that she still has a lot of friends in the courts, how did he expect her not to find out? She also says, that no, Nick didn’t tell her, but she knows that Nick represented him.
When Brian asks if he should leave, she thinks for a moment, then answers no.

Has the poor little munchkin come out of his coma yet?
Poor Rosiiii will be so disappointed Lulu didn't send him packing. Is there a hug icon somewhere I can send her?

A Bar (the Incline?) Janine and Alvin are meeting. She tells him she has taken a deal. He says “I wish you hadn’t.” She tells him the deal is for two years, and she should be out within fourteen months. Alvin starts on the whole “You never asked me for money” spiel again. Janine stops him, pointing out that on numerous occasions Alvin has given her legal help, and that was his payment. She gets up and walks away, leaving him to think about it.

F&F Jake is in is office, working on the pc. Nick pokes his head in again and tells Jake what good work he did on the files. Jake says that he was there late the night before finishing them up. Before he leaves, Nick asks how things went with Barbara’s case. Jake says he took care of it.

LSoP Alvin, Lulu, and Seth are meeting. Seth tells Alvin that he has his job back, but that he doesn’t get to keep his seat on the board. Alvin tries to argue, saying that the director always has a seat on the board. Seth stops him and tells him that Lulu will be sitting on the board as Assistant Director.

Hospital Nick goes to check on Bryant. The doctor points out that it is after visiting hours. Nick apologizes, saying he was held up at work. The doctor tells Nick that as he is Bryant’s only visitor to take his time. Nick looks around the room and at the comatose boy. He walks across and sits down. The camera pans out.

Great ep!
Short Summary: The goose is cooked. It's only a matter of time...now. Lulu full of contempt, has known all along...about Brian and the hookers...(which shocked all hell outta me)....hence her unwillingness to sleep with him - and really from the sounds of it, it's quite possible they haven't slept together since the wedding, if then even! The ep opens with lulu in men's pajamas, no makeup, eating DORITOS, which cracked me up -- if ever there was a more blatant "Do Not Touch Me Sign," I don't know what it is! Close to the end of the ep is when she *confronts* Brian however.
After trying once more to bed down with Lulu, the goose essentially says "are we ever going to have sex again?" Lulu says words to the effect, maybe when "you stop seeing hookers." (TG fans mouths gape in unison)
Favorite exchange of the night, Brian to Lulu, when asked "why?" by Lulu, regarding the prostitute(s):
Brian: "Lulu it's not you...." Lulu: "Damn RIGHT, it's not me!"
Glad to see she's getting her gumption back. Now, if she'll only give him the boot.
Brian tried to claim a "sickness," at the last - but sounded very insincere - it was more or less a last ditch save, Lulu knew it. This explains a lot of Lulu's behavior towards Alvin tonight, her questions to the prostitute friend of Alvin's (started out highly judgemental, how she was raising her kid, asking about "the married men," then grew slightly empathetic) -- and perhaps it also explains her attitude and behavior with Nick all along, she told Brian she knew Nick "represented him." I don't see how these two, (Brian and she) can go on...he asked her if she wanted him to leave -- whether it be their house that very minute, or for good..I don't know - but for whatever reason at that moment...with her back turned, and disgusted - she said, "no." I got the feeling it was more of a -- when you leave, it's going to be me kicking you out..not you slinking out the door with your tail between your legs. Poor Lulu...I can't wait until Nick finds out she knew all along - and about his involvement no less, as well.
Alvin was with a friend who happened to be a prostitute - he didn't pay her for sex, it was free - LOL. As a result, Alvin has been kicked off the board of directors for LSOP, but he remains the director, Lulu is the associate director and has been installed in Alvin's place on the board.
Jake was a valiant friend tonight with Barbara - I so enjoy their scenes together, but unfortunately as the case of the internet love match fraud ( dude humiliated Barbara online after she sent him her pics in cyberspace, and then posting them, saying that she was fat and unattractive) progressed, Jake's male ego took precedence. He plotted to get the cruel college kid who not only took advantage of Barbara online, but incurred the more serious infraction of kicking his butt on the street - from then on Jake was dead set on getting this kid. Barbara's woes essentially took a backseat for a time as Jake wanted to exact revenge for his own sake. Barbara later gave him a piece of her mind when she realized it wasn't all about saving the day for her - and she was pretty hurt at the realization. Jake looked recalcitrant and regretful. But later on got his own back, when he beat the kid up -- slugged him a few times, and kicked him in the gut...which I hope doesn't come back to haunt him down the road in another ep...I've had enough jail visits on TG for the time being.

Cont...
Nick, again getting in touch with his human side, by being the guardian to a child who had been deliberately poisoned (given lead paint chips to eat) by his Mom, who at the urging of a lawyer (nasty shark friend of Nick's) who suggested the poor families in this tenement apartment could have quite a payday, if they had a strong case against the city/cty/landlord/developer, and encouraged the terrible act. The child is not verbal, and a handful at first - Nick takes him in hand, tries to be stern -- getting a kick in the leg for his efforts - later upon visiting the child at the social services home he's staying at, gets a spontaneous warm hug from the boy who realizes Nick has come to see him. An awwwww moment for sure. The boy soon begins having convulsions, and seizures - Nick realizes the child has been poisoned -- and even later still, by who. He was suitably horrified by it all. We get a fine NWO moment as Nick being told by the doctors that the child, now on life support probably won't pull through in ICU - may have to terminate his life support -- Nick gives that nothin' doin' whoa Nelly look of his, and he's out of the hospital like a bat out of hell. He comes back of course -- and also gets Mom to sign over her parental rights. Ep ends with Nick in the hospital room with the comatose boy, just sitting..being there.
GREAT ep...the best one so far -- after the pilot. It proved very enlightening, DH was right...after the 4th ep, it seems he's tieing up a lot of the loose ends (praying that f* goose is loose end #1)
*Also, funny moment Nick and Jake laughing at Alvins predicament in F&F conference room - the naughty boys....Jake says, "Yeah, I hear she (prostitute Jeanine) got caught left handed." Nick begins to crack reluctantly, then laughs.

>>Close to the end of the ep is when she finds out >>however.
I had to correct the above. I mispoke - or mistyped, as the case may be. I actually meant, that "close to the end of the ep," is when she confronts Brian, not "finds out."
We really don't know when she found out - although there is a strong case to be made that she knew before she got hitched. I've only had one run-through -- watching the show when it aired tonight....when I watch my tape, maybe they'll be more clues as to exactly when Lulu found out.
