LSP Alvin has called Nick and Lulu into his office. Much to their surprise, Alvin explains that he’s not upset with them, that he’s a child of the sixties and he understands. He says he even lived in a commune for six months with four others (at which Lulu, EXTREMELY uncomfortable, changes the subject).

He proceeds to tell them “If you dig having sex in the office, go ahead, but keep the meeting room door locked.” Lulu looks ashen, especially when Alvin points out that he could have brought a donor in with him, which might have been embarrassing for all of them. He then offers Lulu a key to the meeting room (on a HUGE blue key chain). Lulu refuses at first. Nick, silent through all of this, grins and nods his head a bit when she looks at him, and finally she takes the key.

Out in the main office, Lulu and Nick encounter James. James goes to ask Lulu a question, and for a minute she thinks Alvin hasn’t told him. But then James breaks into a grin and asks if he can use the meeting room, all the while throwing Nick knowing grins (Nick is smiling like the cat who ate the canary!).

Lulu, not amused, turns to walk away. As she turns, she bumps into Laurie, who congratulates them, saying love is a beautiful thing. She says Alvin told her it was a beautiful sight (she’s not teasing!). Lulu, absolutely appalled, makes a dash for her office.

Lulu tells Nick to come in to her office, but to leave the door open. Nick, who had already started closing the door, complies, and takes a seat across the desk from her. Lulu tells him she wants him to send her flowers. Nick, a bit surprised, says okay, and Lulu directs him to send her a spring bouquet to the office, about $50 worth. Nick nods.

OMG!!! I'm dying here Child of the sixties indeed! Forget the burnt retinas. He just wished he had a camera so he could make the memory live.

Finally, she tells Nick she thinks they need to have a dinner party for Laurie, Alvin, and James. When Nick asks why she wants all this (rather jokingly), Lulu answers “Because I just endured getting a sex key from Alvin!” Nick, grinning ear-to-ear, says okay.

No, Nick doesn't mind her specifications on the flowers. In fact, he's rather amused, as he knows she is trying to "legitimize" everything and make it look serious.

F&F Shannon comes to Burton’s office after school. Burton tells her that he’s arranged for her to transfer to a private school, even though it is near the end of the school year. Shannon isn’t very excited at this news.
