Group Shelter Nick goes to pick up Josh for the “party.” Josh comes in dressed in a too-tight suit coat. Nick is clearly chagrined, knowing that if Josh shows up looking like that to the “fashion show,” his chances will be essentially nil. In a kindly manner Nick asks, “Do you have a sweater or shirt or something?”
Josh looks taken aback—“It’s a fashion show. I wanna look good.”
Nick, realizing he has his work cut out for him replies “Yeah. You got a sweater or a shirt?”
Oh oh. Alvin is going to blew it. Big time. (I'm psychic).
And why would a drug test disqualify her? Surely a 15 year old drug addict with toxemia is MORE in need of care, not less. Sheesh.
What is this attitude? OK she is a drug addict so she and her child can die on the streets. Obviously not worthy. (ranting now)

Spunky, this particular shelter has very strict guidelines for who is admitted. Because she has done drugs and is essentially showing that she doesn't care what happens to the baby, she doesn't qualify. This shelter is geared at working with those girls who are trying to stay clean and who want to keep their babies and create a decent life for themselves.

The “Fashion Show”
Nick has convinced Josh to change into his regular clothes, a clean shirt, jeans, and flannel shirt. The other kids are dressed up and are showing off to the best of their abilities, while Josh just stands there, looks a bit shy, and smiles.
When the mingling part of the party begins, Josh tells Nick that he has to stay over to the side, because if people see him hanging around Josh, they’ll think Nick’s interested in adopting him and won’t talk to him. Nick stays on the sidelines, but is clearly uncomfortable, both for himself and Josh.

Another Group Home Lulu goes to tell Jenna that she failed the drug test, as she tested positive for marijuana. Lulu tries to ask her how she could think of smoking marijuana while pregnant, but the girl isn’t interested in hearing what Lulu has to say, as she isn’t really interested in keeping the baby. She turns from Lulu and starts taking her things out of her dresser and putting them in a bag.
When Lulu asks her what she’s doing, Jenna replies that she’s going to stay with her boyfriend. His parents let him live in their basement, and he’s said she can stay there. Lulu points out that she doesn’t have permission to do that. Jenna just looks at her and says, “What? Are you going to try to stop me?”
Back at the party . . . Nick, seeing that Josh isn’t having much luck, tries to take matters into his own hands by taking a couple up to meet Josh, but it turns out that this is the man with the hockey tickets, and Josh, trying to overly impress him with his nonexistent knowledge of hockey blows it.
Nick tries to get him to leave, saying “It’s always good to leave before the party’s over.” Josh just shrugs him off, and clearly disgruntled, growls “Shut up.”
Allegheny County Jail Keenan is shown recanting his earlier confession, stating that he only said all that because he was angry with his employer.

Harris’ office Harris tells James that since Keenan has recanted, their case is too weak, and he’s pulling out. He says that Fallin will only bury them with paperwork, and he doesn’t intend to go bankrupt fighting a case this weak. Besides, he says, most of the patients killed were not only ill but indigents and not really worth the effort.

LSoP Laurie goes up to Nick’s closet and says “Nick, you did a good thing.” It seems the tenth time was the charm for Josh as there is a couple from the party who is interested in adopting him. She invites Nick to go with her to tell Josh. He declines.

Josh’s Group Home Laurie shows up to tell Josh the good news. The supervisor meets her outside. Laurie shares the good news, but unfortunately he has bad news. Josh was so upset that someone wanted to adopt another boy from that home (remember, he doesn’t know yet that someone wants him) that he pushed the other boy down some stairs and broke his arm. As this supervisor wasn’t there when it happened, the other staff has already filed a report with the police.

Poor kid. Obviously not the outgoing personable type. (Alvin's love child perhaps?)
The party sounds gruesome. Making kids act like performing bears trying to get applause.

LSoP James shows up to ask Alvin’s help. He explains what has happened, first at F&F, and then with Harris. He explains that he wants to start his own firm to handle the case, but that he needs a loan. He has found a bank that will lend him $10,000, but he needs Alvin to cosign for him. Alvin agrees.
Out in the lobby, two police officers bring Jenna in and give her to Lulu. Jenna is yelling at Lulu for calling the cops on her. Lulu tries to talk to her, but Jenna rushes into the restroom and locks the door.
James stops by to see Nick in the closet and to say “No hard feelings, right?” He then hands Nick a copy of the suit he filed for $4 million on Drea’s behalf that morning. Nick, all businesslike, says “I already know.” Handing James another file, he says, “We filed this. It’s a request to have you removed as counsel.”
