Ever the shark, is our Nick.
Are they certain that the people were murdered? Did they have more evidence other than the confession?

Apparently they do have more proof, but we're not told what it is.

Courtroom Nick and Laurie are again in front of Judge Damsen explaining what happened. Nick is trying to defend Josh so that he will not be removed to a secure facility. The Judge refuses, saying that Josh will be moved to the secure facility for the next month, until the other boy leaves the group shelter, when Josh will return to the group home where he has been for the past six years.
Before they leave, Josh insists that Nick ask if he may attend the next adoption party. The judge says no.

Not terribly. Kind of chubby, hair too long in the front, glasses. He was cute in a sad sort of way.

Hallway at the court house Alvin is talking to Laurie, still beating the dead horse by explaining that this is why he doesn’t like adoption parties. Laurie, clearly upset, tells him that she doesn’t particularly like them either, but unfortunately, they work most of the time. As she starts to walk off, Alvin asks “Does this mean we’re not having dinner tonight?”<br> Laurie, still upset, simply says “Be at my place, we’ll continue this argument there.” Alvin is surprised that it’s to be at Laurie’s house, but agrees.

Courtroom The judge rules that it is clearly a conflict of interest for James to represent Drea Westbrook in her case since he previously worked for F&F and had been present at a meeting concerning the case. James tries to argue that there was never any formal employment agreement between himself and F&F and that he was only present at the meeting for about 20 seconds before he excused himself.
Outside Jake tries to explain to James that it’s nothing personal, and that Burton wouldn’t have asked that James be removed if he didn’t respect James.

LSoP James goes back to see Alvin, where he explains what has happened. He explains that he had only spent $1,800 of the money and has paid the rest of the loan back already. Alvin offers James his old job back. James tries to refuse, saying that he doesn’t forgive Alvin for what happened with Levi. Alvin tells him that this offer isn’t just to help James out, but that he (Alvin) needs James there. James accepts the offer.

F&F [glow=red,2,300](a good part ;D) [/glow]
Burton: Now listen, I've been thinking. Nick: What? Burton: Well, my office, you know that was meant for the managing partner. Nick: That's you. Burton: For now, yeah, but that's gonna be you soon. Nick: Dad, uh, I, I don't want your office. Burton: Well, think about it, okay? Nick: <little laugh> It's your office.

Outside the Courthouse? James has to tell Drea that he can’t represent her. He tells her that while he can’t be her attorney, he’ll be her friend and try to help her through this. She accepts this.

What was that again?
Were there any sparks between James and Drea?

Burton requested that James be removed as counsel in this case. Jake told James that had Burton not respected him [James], he wouldn't have bothered to have him removed as counsel.

Hospital Lulu is wheeling Jenna through the hallway. Jenna doesn’t want to talk about the baby, who is a girl and very, very small. Lulu explains the obstacles they face since she is a preemie. She takes Jenna to the neonatal ICU and insists Jenna see the baby. Jenna tries to refuse, but Lulu tells her she has to.
Jenna is obviously touched when she sees the infant, and asks Lulu how long she can stay at the hospital. Lulu tells her that the hospital has said she can stay as long as the baby is there, which could be months.
The end.
