Olsen house
Lulu enters the house. As she enters the living room, she sees a box sitting in the floor. Tentatively removing the lid, she sees inside her red sweater and the picture frame containing the picture of her in the marathon.

Kim’s house
Kim ties the belt on her robe as she answers the door. Lulu is there, a bit shaken up. She explains that someone broke into her house. When Kim shows her concern, Lulu explains that nothing was taken, but that some things which had been taken from her office were left there and that the police had already been by. She explains that Brian is out of town and that she’s afraid to stay there by herself. At that moment, just as Kim is telling her that of course she can stay there, Nick comes out of the bedroom in a rumpled white t-shirt and boxers (:thud:).
He’s a bit surprised to see Lulu there, but Kim is explaining that Lulu’s house has been broken into. Nick looks concerned, as Lulu apologizes for butting in, and says she’ll go elsewhere. Nick says no, he was getting ready to leave, and Kim tells them both no, that neither needs to leave.

Later that night, Lulu sits on the floor in Kim’s living room, watching a movie and eating cookies. Nick comes out of the bedroom (still in that rumpled white t-shirt and striped boxers :thud::thud::thud:). Lulu apologizes, asking if the television is too loud, explaining that she can’t sleep. Nick says no, it’s not that, he just can’t sleep either.

We don't actually see the police at Lulu's, Spunky. We cut from the scene of her finding the box to the scene at Kim's where Nick saunters out of the bedroom all tussled and rumpled looking :thud:

No, apparently Mattie wasn't due home that night, so she was letting him stay the night! Smart girl. :drool:

Lulu invites him to have a seat, then asks about Kim. Nick says Kim is asleep, and sits down on the floor beside Lulu. She offers to share the blanket she has across her knees, which he accepts (:thud::thud:), and a cookie which he doesn’t.

Grinning, Lulu asks if Nick has ever looked in Kim’s pantry. He says no, he hasn’t. She laughs, saying that one side is full of healthy stuff, while the other side is full of junk food.
Nick, returning the grin, says “No need to ask which side you’ve been into.”<br>

Lulu laughs a little, and explains that Kim keeps the junk food to bribe Mattie with. She says she has no idea how Kim stays so thin with all the junk food around, that Kim “obviously has more self control than I do!”<br>
Nick asks (a bit coyly), “You think?”<br>
Lulu continues, saying that if she ever has kids she hopes she can find a better way of bribing them than with junk food.

Turning towards her, Nick puts his arm around her along the back of the couch :thud:. Looking at her intently, he says “If you need someone to watch over your place, or somewhere to stay, I’ve got extra rooms.”<br>
“You have guests?” Lulu replies. “I didn’t think you were the type.”<br>
“Sometimes,” he answers.
Lulu continues “I think most of your guests wind up in your bedroom.”<br>
Nick, grinning, replies, “Sometimes.” As they start to lean in a bit for a kiss, a light in the bedroom is switched on. Kim, tying the belt to her robe, comes into the living room. Looking at Nick and Lulu, sitting on the floor, she apologetically says, “I guess none of us feel much like sleeping tonight.”<br>

Maybe they have already done the horizontal lambada - another of those little insider jokes - like the Barstow thing. They suddenly seem VERY cosy..

LSP, the next morning
Nick comes in, sees Lulu, and asks if she’s okay. He explains that he’s talked to Alvin about increasing security around there, and that he’s talked with Alvin and he (Nick) will be taking over some of her cases for the time being. Lulu doesn’t seem pleased, but just then Kim, in uniform, comes in.
