James, having doubts now as to whether Taleek was the one who killed Levi, goes to see his old gang friend Winston. He asks Winston if Taleek was in fact the one who killed Levi. Winston maintains he was.
James turns to leave. As he starts down the hall, he sees Sharnelle, Taleek’s ex-girlfriend, carrying her baby. He speaks to her for a second and continues down the hallway. As he nears a corner, he looks back to see Sharnelle entereing Winston’s apartment.

Okay Burton arguing with Nick is not a good sign of father/son vibes...
James the boss of Nick... gulp... /me tiptoes away from the pair of them.
So why is Nick angry whenever Shannon shows up?

Because she keeps interrupting meetings, Hales. It's not just because she's there, but because when she comes into the conference room in the middle of a partners' meeting Burton drops everything to talk to her. I get the idea this is the kind of thing Nick would NEVER have been allowed to get away with as a child.

Next James goes to see Taleek. He tells Taleek that he will have a better chance in court if he claims that Sharnelle is an unfit mother, and asks if she’s moved in with anyone since they split. Taleek says yes, that she’s moved in with her brother, Winston, who’s a gang-banger and a dealer. Taleek also tells James that he and Winston never got along, and that he thinks Winston was responsible for the assault.

I thought so, poor old Nick, can he do anything right when his father's concerned?

B always kind of got angry with Nick when he interrupted partners meetings so i guess it`s truly bothering N, that now, Shannon can bother them while they are in a meeting all the times she wants... it`s just not fear... this is my guess

F&F Clay Sims is at another partners meeting. He tells everyone that his associates should be ready to start there on Monday. Someone makes the comment about giving him his office, to which Sims replies that they can just give him Straka’s—Straka won’t mind. Nick, caught up in the mood, says they can do a lot better than Jake’s office. Jake, hurt, says he has something he needs to work on and leaves. At this, Sims shakes his head and says that Jake “always was a sensitive jackal,” even back in high school. He hints about what happened, but says he can’t talk about it, as he’s promised Jake he won’t.

Gin, I dont imagine anybody getting away with interrumpting your father business meeting....nick included..... All this alvin and james makes me sick. I used to love alvin....a lot!....again, the boys against lulu...maybe they are really mocking the cartoon....but it´s no funny. I feel sorry for her.

Someone urges him on, so he tells. He explains that when they were in high school he, Sims, had a sister who was fourteen, and that old “Strap-on,” as they called Jake, followed her around and wouldn’t leave her alone. So one night at a game, he gets this cheerleader to tell her linebacker boyfriend that Jake was putting the moves on her. So the boyfriend goes over to where Jake is keeping his statistics and starts threatening that if he comes around his girlfriend again, he’s going to beat the crap out of Jake. Sims says Jake was so scared he peed his pants. Everyone is laughing at the story but Burton, who is trying to figure out what is meant by “Strap-on,” when suddenly Jake comes back into the room to get something he left behind. Jake obviously overhears some of the conversation, even though everyone changes the subject the second he appears.

Out in the hallway, Nick catches up with Jake and tells him that he’ll tell Sims he needs to shut the hell up. Jake, knowing that Nick had been laughing as well, says he’s sick of them, all of them, “including you!” and storms out.
