Caldwell and Associates Burton goes over to see how things are going and to offer his condolences to his former partners/employees. He talks to Rhonda (he acts like she was his assistant, but that was Sheila, right?), who is not only upset, but incensed that Caldwell would do something that will bring bad press to the firm when they had nothing to do with any of it. Just then, Mitchell Lichtman walks up and asks if he can have a word with Burton. They go off to his office.
Jakes comes into C&A, and walks up to Rhonda to offer his condolences. As she starts to walk away, he mentions that they now have the cemetery account, and if she wouldn’t mind, could he get the files . . .

 gee thanks!
So why does Alvin pass it on to Lulu, I mean it was his chance to gain a storyline for crying out loud... bad Alvin!

Lichtman and Burton have gone to Lichtman’s office (the picture over the desk looks a bit like the one that used to be in Nick’s office, but the room looks much smaller). Lichtman is talking about what a great senator Caldwell had been, all the things he had done for his constituents, yada, yada, yada, and Burton agrees. Lichtman then says that Agent Calphas wants to meet with him tomorrow morning, and he basically threatens to tell all about Burton and Caldwell’s deal.

lol Spunky... the parlour... hee!
I stand by a comment I made in my head and say that Lichtman's an ass!!
How'd Burton react to this 'heart-stopping' *sarcastically* news, Gin?

Fallin and Straka The guys (Nick, James, Jake) are meeting with the people from the county and the guy from the cemetery. They finally get the cemetery guy to agree when they promise the county will take the heat from the media and that he will be able to claim that he was forced into the deal.

Mary Gressler’s home Burton, in need of someone to talk to, shows up at Mary’s house that night. She comes out on the porch, telling him Shannon is upstairs asleep, and offers him a seat in some comfy wicker chairs to talk. She tells him how happy she is with the girl Alvin assigned to her case (Lulu). Mary starts talking about how she regrets her own past and the poor example she set for Mandy while she was growing up. Burton tells her she wasn’t a bad example, that these things just happen.
Meanwhile, Shannon has snuck down the stairs and is sitting on the stairs listening.
Burton thanks Mary again for what he did for Nick. Shannon comes out onto the porch to see why Burton is there.
